The Lighting Accessories Components Manufacturers Association (LACMA) was established in 2014 as the apex body representing Luminaires, their Accessories, and Components in India.
With an annual turnover of approximately ₹5,000 crore, LACMA represents over 30,000 manufacturers and enterprises across the country.
The primary mission of the association is to share knowledge and resources on technical, legal, scientific, business, social, and environmental matters relevant to the lighting industry.
LACMA was founded at a critical juncture when the Indian lighting sector was undergoing a major transformation from conventional lighting to LED technology. Recognizing the opportunities presented by LEDs, LACMA serves as a platform for its members to learn, grow, and prosper during this dynamic period. The association regularly organizes technical seminars, participates in global trade shows, and fosters collaboration across the entire lighting supply chain and ecosystem.
In addition, LACMA plays an active role in addressing member challenges and representing their concerns to statutory and governing authorities. The association functions through its:
Core Committee
Managing Committee
Advisory Committee
In just five years, thanks to the active participation of these committees and the cooperation of its members, LACMA has gained worldwide recognition as the national association for MSMEs in India’s lighting industry.
